About Atlantic Beach
Atlantic Beach NC is located on the eastern side of Bogue Banks, a Barrier island in Carteret County NC. The Atlantic Beach Causeway Bridge connects the island to Morehead City, NC. You can feel yourself decompress crossing over the bridge to the island town of Atlantic Beach. Enjoy relaxing walks on the beach, beautiful sunrises and breathtaking sunsets. You may even see dolphin pods swimming on your morning walk! 4 Corners Diner and Amos Mosquito's Restaurant and Bar are great places to eat.
Attractions and Parks
Atlantic Beach offers an array of things to do. Fort Macon State Park is great for families or history buffs. The Oceanana Fishing Pier has been here since 1959. It is open daily and is a popular spot. Check out the Atlantic Beach Town Park. It showcases a Skateboard Park, an 18 hole Ministure Golf Course, as well as a waterpark area with a large splash pad and playground for the kids.
Things To Do
Surf Casting is very popular, especially during the Spring and Fall seasons. Pick up everything you need at Chasing Tails Outdoors Bait and Tackle, located right on the Atlantic Beach Causeway. There is a great Beach Access located at Fort Macon State Park with bathrooms available. The Beach is beautiful. The Atlantic Beach Circle located on the beach in front of the Causeway, you can't miss it! There are several beach volleyball nets, shops, restaurants and nightlife available. Parasalilng and Jet Ski rentals are available seasonally. You can always opt for booking a Scenic Eco Boat Tour to go on a dolphin watch adventure tour, a sunset cruise or a boat ride to Cape Lookout National Seashore to see the lighthouse up close and personal. You may also see the Wild Horses roaming on Shackleford Banks. There are also Inshore and Offshore Fishing Charters available in the area.
